Our journey into climate adaptation action begins here! We are excited to announce that thanks to the Detroit Black Farmers Land Fund we have acquired 5 lots on Detroit’s west side to implement our Climate and Wellness Resiliency Center. When this site is complete we will have a hands-on community education center with inputs that focus on water harvesting and filtration; composting; geothermal temperature regulation; solar energy; storm drain water diversion; native and medicinal plants; orchard and fitness area.
Join us as we break ground on this monumental project October 22, 2023 from 10am-2pm. We will be planting trees & perennials, laying mulch and placing a sign.
